Our colleague, Nina Cvar, attended the Synergy Days conference, which brought together digital innovators of the European agricultural sector. The event, now in its third year, builds on the achievements of the SmartAgriHubs project and provides a space for community members to meet, discuss, and exchange knowledge. The event connects EU projects, policymakers, European and digital innovation hubs, farmers, and other stakeholders. This year’s edition brought together 39 European projects.

Nina Cvar participated in the discussion “Boosting the potentialities of the agrifood sector by generating synergies with tourism,” moderated by Dolores Ordoñez from AnySolution. Alongside Cvar, speakers included Dana Bonaldi from Politecnico di Milano and Alfonso Bonet from the Fundación Dieta Mediterránea.

The discussion addressed topics such as co-creation methods, community-building, finding a balance for a more even distribution of tourist flows, increasing benefits for farmers, and improving quality of life through digital technologies.

The panel also touched on challenges related to sustainable tourism and the importance and role of collaboration with communities. Nina Cvar presented the Horizon project, Smart Era, as well as other projects in which the Laboratory for Telecommunications and the Laboratory for Multimedia participate either as partners or leading partners.
