I, dr. Jure Trilar, have attended The SmartCommUnity project meeting, in Lienz in October 15-16 2024 as the lead coordinator of the project. Project meeting brought together project partners to discuss key developments in project progress and attend study visits and presentations of data infrastructure pilot in the District of Lienz. The event kicked of with a presentation on the Datahub Regional Data Space by mag. Fritz Fahringer. This was followed by the Interreg SmartCommUnity project meeting, which covered project management updates, communication strategies, and a workshop on the use of new features of the innovation platform.
In the afternoon, attendees visited visit the SÄGEBOX Unterrainer Ainet for an immersive field experience in primary sector automatisation, followed by a trip to Hochsteinhütte Lienz-Bannberg. During the trip, Rocco Scolozzi lead a refresher workshop on tools used in the Aosta Valley study visit, promoting innovative and cocreative thinking. The day concluded with a sundowner and dinner at Hochsteinhütte, fostering collaboration in an informal setting before a joint return to Lienz.
On October 16, the meeting continued at the Municipal Office Amlach with a presentation of the Smart Region District Lienz by Stadtwerke Lienz staff and mayor Stefan Clara of Amlach. The agenda also includes updates from the KLAR! regions in Lower Austria and a systems thinking workshop led again by Rocco Scolozzi, designed to identify key conditions for promoting innovation across the region and discover dynamic processes in pilots.
