On 21st October 2024, as part of the Smart Era project, Slovenian partners from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Ljubljana and Središče Rotunda visited representatives from the municipalities of Koper and Piran. During the working meeting, key elements of developing sustainable mobility solutions, circular economy initiatives, and the importance of stakeholder collaboration were highlighted. The meetings in both municipalities began with a brief introduction and presentation of the Smart Era project, followed by a discussion of the core theme of sustainable mobility and the pilot area of Šmarje-Padna. The discussions also included defining mutual expectations, emphasizing the importance of data collection in rural areas and promotional activities. Special attention was given to the project’s progression from its pilot phase to the establishment of a sustainable service. Future project financing frameworks were also presented, and participants exchanged experiences and agreed on continued cooperation. The event marked a step forward toward achieving sustainable mobility and fostering successful partnerships in this crucial area. It also ensured the strengthening of collaboration within the digital ecosystems of both municipalities. The University of Ljubljana was represented by Nina Cvar and Jure Trilar, while Središče Rotunda was represented by Bojan Mevlja and Denis Goja, alongside representatives from the mayors’ offices and professional staff of both municipalities.
