The kick-off meeting of the Horizon project Smart Era (SMART community-led transition for Europe’s Rural Areas) took place in Trento from 17 to 18 January. The intensive programme included, among other things, workshops organised within the individual work packages, in which all partners were invited to actively participate. In order to ensure that participants got the most out of the thoughtfully designed activities, partners prepared materials in advance, pre-assessed them with pilots and accordingly developed activity plans for the first half of the year.

The two-day kick-off meeting thus thematised all levels of the project and identified milestones in the upcoming timeline. On our side, the University of Ljubljana, more specifically the Telecommunications Laboratory, and the Rotunda Centre, a social centre in the Littoral region, are participating in the project and will be active in the Šmarje development pilot.
