In cooperation with the Slovenian Information Security Authority (URSIV), we successfully delivered a comprehensive training for teachers in the Secondary School Cyber Security Network. We recorded more than 70 participants in a highly practical programme, where participants gained key skills in networking technologies, cyber security and the use of Raspberry Pi mini-computers. The aim of the programme was to introduce teachers to trends and innovations in these areas and to help them effectively transfer the knowledge they have gained to the school environment and apply it in the classroom and in various extra-curricular activities.
The training took place at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, and part of the programme was also delivered remotely. Given the many thanks from teachers for the organisation and the expression of interest in similar initiatives in the future, it confirms the need for further development of expertise in the field of cyber security in education.
