The 23rd OTS conference on information technologies and services took place in Maribor between 19 and 20 June 2018.

On the second day of the conference we had a presentation about the program EkoSmart and its sub-projects. We have presented the interactive prototype for the application MyFamily that was developed within the project Active living and wellbeing. The application is intended for members of the families that live in smart cities and communities. It serves as a platform where children, parents and grandparents can use modern ICT to design and set (each other) tasks and mutual goals to enhance the active life and wellbeing of the whole family. When they achieve the goal, they can also get a reward.

On behalf of the whole team Mr. Vid Čermelj has presented the idea, concept, aims of the project and different phases of the development process of the interactive prototype. The participants were introduced to different approaches to planning of a family application and various methods of usability testing that were used when designing MyFamily. The main theme was the interactive prototype of the application that has already been through usability testing process. We have presented the results of the usability testing and our work plan for the future.

More information can be found on the web page of the event and in our short presentation.

Responses of the participants of the conference were very positive.
