Our colleagues, Nina Cvar and Simona Stojanova and Mojca Štruc from the Government Office for Digital Transformation of the Republic of Slovenia took part in a study visit to Madeira from 22 to 24 June in the framework of the Interreg project Carpe Digem. The varied programme, organized by IDE IP-RAM and ARDITI which included different sub-areas of digital transformation, but with a special focus on the specificities of the island’s ecosystem, enabled participants to learn in depth and, above all, to exchange views on how to stimulate digital transformation in rural areas. It is also worth mentioning, that representatives of both Slovenian partners took first place in the presentation of the possible methodology of how to work with rural communities, with more than 30 participants taking part in this particular event.
