From 17 to 21 June 2019 we were at Valencia Congress Center in Spain at Valencia 5G Week, which is an event, dealing with the latest technological and business accomplishments in the field of 5G. EuCNC 2019 – 28th European Conference on Networks and Communications shared this location with two other events (7th Global 5G Event in CELTIC Event).

Artificial intelligence, autonomous driving, blockchain, cybersecurity – and of course the inevitable question of where 5G technologies will lead – are just a small fraction of the themes, which the visitors could see at the exhibition or attend lectures and interactive discussions from the programme.

First live holographic video call

The undisputed approach of technological maturity and usability of 5G technology was confirmed by a series of demonstrations, including the first live holographic 5G video call during the opening ceremony, direct transmission from autonomous 5G camera to Spanish national television, and robot hands and autonomous vehicle that can be controlled remotely via 5G network.
