O Monday, 5th of January, 2018 unfolded regional expert panel titled »Smart Villages – new technologies and concepts for preserving Ptuj and Ormož countryside«. European Member of Parliament Mr. Franc Bogovič (SLS/EPP) and mayor of municipality of Goriščica Mr. Jože Kokot organized panel with selected invited guests. The main topic of the panel vas smart villages for better living of the rural population.
The respected members of the panel were Radko Firbas (user of irrigation system Gorišnica), Niko Korošec (Mill Korošec), dr. Štefan Čelan (Scientific Research Center Bistra Ptuj), dr. Emilija Stojmenova Duh (Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana).
