A system approach to lifelong learning for business, use of micro-credits and transfer of results to study programes

The project will develop a proposal for a systematic approach to knowledge transfer between university and business, including an analysis of knowledge transfer modalities and existing good practices, and the identification of the most appropriate approach to enhance lifelong learning (LL) in line with the needs of business. We will develop a scheme for introducing micro-credentials into the LL system to meet the needs of business. The activities will be implemented in two phases:

  1. A phase to develop a systematic approach for knowledge transfer between universities and enterprises and knowledge transfer to other target groups, with a goal to re-skill and up-skill with the use of micro-credits.
  2. Testing the approach with a new pilot training programme for a decentralised solutions.

The results (with possible modifications) will be transferable to some of the other member universities, in particular those that can offer technology related training programmes to companies. The experience gained from the decentralised solution pilot training programme will be used to reflect on the possible transfer of content innovations in study programmes or interdisciplinary training modules.
