The TOUREST project will develop tools and other means to raise awareness and foster sustainable water amangement in tourest industry across the coastal ADRION regions (Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro and Greece).
The project aims are to:
  • identify data gaps studying relevant needs, potential impact, practices and policies in relation to sustainable water management in tourist industries
  • develop common tools & joint actions to monitor, and assess sustainable tourism water management
  • pilot-test the developed tools to ensure their integration into the territorial policy context

Main project outputs will be:

  • Joint ADRION strategy and resources for public authorities to monitor & assess sustainable tourism water management
  • Demonstration of water use monitoring and assessment impact on increasing the sustainability level of the tourism sector
  • Action plans for public authorities and tourism stakeholders of the partners areas
