The Think XR project is co-financed by Norway with funds from the Norwegian Financial Mechanism in the amount of 702.596 EUR. The purpose of the project is Education – strengthening of human resources with the aim of improving human capital.

The Norwegian Financial Mechanism, which is financed only by Norway, is intended for countries that joined the European Union after 2003. The total amount of resources within the framework of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism in the period 2014-2021 amounts to EUR 1.25 billion.

The Think XR project aims to create a curriculum and new augmented and virtual reality teaching modules. XR technologies are recognised as one of Europe’s key new digital technologies (Expert Workshop on Interactive Technologies) as they represent a new, modern, digital and interactive medium.

In the Think XR project, ULFE will review and select appropriate virtual and augmented reality technologies for teaching purposes. We will develop new didactic approaches and methodologies, design and evaluate the user experience of the solutions in the XR environment, carry out scientific research, disseminate the results and promote the project. The main benefits of participation in the project are mainly in transferring knowledge and experience in multimedia and augmented reality (XR) technologies and their application for effective education to other partners. Due to its educational role, ULFE also has extensive experience in the development of teaching materials and teaching methods. In addition to technical expertise, specific skills for designing a good and human-friendly user experience of XR solutions and interactions in XR environments are also important. This will allow the development of the necessary competencies and new services that can be implemented at national and local levels, thus contributing to competitiveness.
