On 22 August 2018, the picturesque town of Črnomelj in the Bela krajina region hosted a press conference to present ‘kulTura’, a project which aims to address the challenges of reviving cultural heritage in the border municipalities of Črnomelj and Jastrebarsko. The purpose of the meeting was to acquaint the media and the public with the activities of the project partners.

The press conference was held in the media room of Črnomelj Music School and gave the project partners an opportunity to elaborate their role in the project. We each explained our activities, took a peek at the progress of archaeological excavations connected to the renovation of the old town centre, which have already begun, and finally gathered at a small banquet in Črnomelj’s Wine Cellar.

Laboratory for Telecommunications of Faculty of Electrical Engineering is a technical partner in the ‘kulTura’ project, which is funded under the Interreg SI-HR cooperation programme. Our team is tasked with developing a present-day mobile application which will be a multimedia platform for reviving and experiencing the cultural heritage of Črnomelj and Jastrebarsko municipalities. This cooperation signifies a continued fruitful collaboration between the two towns.

The press conference and the partner gathering took place in a pleasant environment and were characterised by partners’ endeavour to connect all their acquired experience and knowledge.
