At the end of April, the representatives of the laboratory, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emilija Stojmenova Duh and Dr. Nina Cvar, together with the stakeholder Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kaja Širok, learnt about good practices or digital solutions in Mallorca. The varied programme, organised by the Carpe Digem partner, The Mallorca Chamber of Commerce, offered a presentation of the different levels needed for a successful digital transformation: the municipal level, the economy, rural forms of digitisation, in particular cooperatives as a form that can respond very effectively to the challenges of globalisation, , and the use of digital technologies in viticulture as an example of encouraging digital skills in rural digital ecosystems. The highlight of the visit was undoubtedly the visit to the waste recycling system in Majorca, which is, among other things, an excellent example of the so-called circular economy. The study visit concluded with a presentation of the Technology Park of Majorca, which brings together economic operators, public administration and creative industries in a digital hub.
