In cooperation with RTV Slovenia we developed a hybrid application according to the standard HBBTV for smart TV receivers. The application of RTV 4D RTV Slovenia offers national television broadcasters a multi-day RTV-program, access to the online archive of radio and television broadcasts, articles, news and other content from the portal rtvslo.si and the monitoring of radio programs. The operation of the hybrid TV application requires three conditions: the support of TV to the HBBTV standard, the connection of the TV to the Internet, and the corresponding TV signal with additional information within the TV signal. Based on this information, the TV detects the application. The user launches the application by pressing the red button on the remote control. The operation of the application then takes place via an Internet connection.
