In Slovenia, the project was carried out in collaboration with Doppler Winer\u0455 and Beekeeping Cesar, where digital technologies were tested in real-life environments and their economic, environmental, and social impacts were monitored.
\nThe results from viticulture show that the use of sensors for monitoring microclimatic conditions can significantly improve decision-making in production. At the pilot site, we recorded approximately 20% lower consumption of water, organic fungicides, and fuel, along with noticeable time savings. Additionally, the data proved useful in assessing terrain suitability for work in steep vineyards.<\/p>\n
In the field of beekeeping, we tested solutions for remote hive monitoring, enabling better insight into the condition of bee colonies while reducing the need for physical visits to remote locations.
\nThe CODECS project is being implemented across 14 countries and includes 20 so-called Living Labs, where digital solutions are tested directly in practice. Its goal is to bridge the gap between technological solutions and their actual impact on farms.
\nThe meeting also served as a platform for exchanging views with stakeholders on the costs, benefits, and challenges of digitalisation, as well as on future opportunities for developing the Slovenian digital ecosystem in agriculture.
