The project ” Analysis of conceptual design of information and technical system support for persons with disabilities to increase social integration” conducted by the Laboratory for Multimedia at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, and the Geodetic Institute of Slovenia, has entered its final phase of operation. Project partners are conducting research on the state of physical and digital accessibility of services in public institutions, aiming to design a comprehensive system of solutions that include technology, organization, and stakeholders, and relate to the selected activities of people with disabilities.
At the 17th session of the members of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities within the United Nations (UN), held from June 11 to 13, 2024, this project was highlighted in the main discussion as an example of good practice in ensuring accessibility for persons with disabilities. The project is funded under the Target Research Program “CRP-2022” by the Ministry of Labor, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities (MDDSZ) and the Public Agency for Research and Innovation of the Republic of Slovenia (ARIS).
