On 22.3.2024, within the framework of the Smart Era project (SMART community-led transition for Europe’s Rural Areas), we organised the first in a series of workshops in cooperation with the Rotunda Centre Institute, the Rotunda social centre of the Primorska region.
The topic of sustainable mobility, as well as environmental education, was presented to the Šmarje/Padna pilot.
The meeting, which, in addition to the presentation of the Smart Era Horizon, also included a presentation of the best practice of the Cotravellers, and the implementation of the SEROI+ approach, allowed not only to pursue a bottom-up approach, but also to effectively obtain data that will play a key role in the development of innovative, and above all useful solutions in the selected pilot.
The first workshop was attended by 27 participants; the next workshop will address the topic of circular economy and tourism.
The Smart Era project promotes a community-driven path to change, encompassing technology, governance, business, societal aspects and policy making.
