Prof. Andrej Kos, PhD., head of the Laboratory for Telecommunications at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and President of the Innovation Commission at the University of Ljubljana, participated in the EUTOPIA European University workshop titled “University-Industry cooperation from the industrial point of view” earlier this week, alongside Janez Rihtaršič, PhD., from Domel d.o.o. and Katja Cergol from the Technology Transfer Office at the University of Ljubljana.
Using the example of the Laboratory of Telecommunications and the Laboratory of Multimedia and their strategic goals and current collaborations with the industry, he presented to the international audience the view of researchers on cooperation with companies. He proposed several ways to initiate and continue collaborations while highlighting the importance of ICT, which is already well established as a basis for a broader range of research areas.
