The COVID-Distrupted Regional Innovation Ecosystems (CODIL) project addresses common regional development issues brought about by COVID-19 pandemic, which requires European regions to upgrade and adapt their local innovation ecosystems in order to react to the changed innovation patterns. Through a review and adaptation of regional development policies, the project will improve the implementation of several policy instruments in the field of Smarter Europe.
The Project is financed by the EU Interreg Programme 2021-2027, for a period of 4 years.
Following the official opening presentation of the Project work plan by the Univerisity of Ljublajna – the Project Lead, the main issues of interest and the first project activities were discussed between the Partners from Ireland, Romania, Finland, France, Spain and Slovenia. The digital policies at national level in Slovenia were addressed by the Slovenian Ministry of Digital Transformation. The interdisciplinary approach to regional digital transformation was tackled through the study example of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering along with best practices review.
